Your new company Here in Hays we have a fantastic long-term opportunity for a Sterility Micro Analyst seeking to kickstart their career for our Scientific Services client to be based on their top of the range biopharmaceutical testing facility in the greater Waterford area.The company is a leading contract laboratory services provider specialised in testing and research services in the environmental, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical sciences for world renowned industry leaders, paving the way for drug testing and development.Your new role The main aim of the role is to carry out basic testing and to master the range of techniques appropriate for the work area.Act on their own initiative and to learn as quickly as possible any tests that they are required to do.Responsible for gaining proficiency in a certain number of tests/area of testing.Perform techniques / tests that they are qualified to do in terms of completed training records and as directed by the laboratory senior.Knowledge and experience in some or all the following is an advantage, Bacterial endotoxin, Sterility, Growth promotion for media, Environment monitoring/Ensure that all documentation and calculations are carried out on time, accurately and legiblyKeep their training records up to date and to initiate training as per their training plan where possible when free from workAdhere to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.Ensure that customers’ requirements are fully met and in so doing be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.Identify any opportunities for improvement of quality and service and work with the team to implement continuous improvement.What you'll need to succeed A Degree in Microbiology or a related discipline is essential.Experienced in testing of sterile samples Understanding how a cleanroom works/operatesKnowledge of Annex 1 standard is advantageousGood team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skillsWhat you'll get in return Excellent developmental opportunities and career progression avenues into leadership positions with yearly salary revenue.
