If you have proven Underwriting experience, then we would love to hear from you!We have an excellent opportunity for an Underwriter to join our A&H team in Dublin You will have responsibility for growth of the Portfolio with key Brokers and Clients, whilst maintaining and developing a portfolio of existing accounts. Lines of business will include Personal Accident, Travel and Employer Sponsored Business.You will ensure underwriting integrity through appropriate deployment of underwriting guidelines and controls, consistency of approach towards risk selection, underwriting, administration, handling existing cases (renewals) and developing new business portfolio within this specialist area. This role could suit an existing hardworking Underwriter who is motivated, inquisitive, with an appetite for a new challenge. Key Responsibilities Underwrite new business and renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, specified budget, and local business plan. Represent and promote Chubb corporately to brokers, internal partners, and external clients. Servicing key producers and clients, through an engaged programme of pro-active external visitation, monitoring business acquisition and retention as well as maximising cross-selling opportunities. Assist in formulating and implementing underwriting strategy, forecasts, and portfolio management to achieve underwriting profitability. Assist with development of products within areas of specialist expertise in order to improve client retention and new business. This may involve collaborating with peers within and across business lines in Europe as well as globally. Meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business and compliance issues. Allocate resources to meet business objectives. Knowledge & Experience Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of specialist Product Line, the insurance market, and competitors. Proven experience of dealing with brokers and clients. Results driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative. An experienced underwriting professional. Considerable market experienceCIP -.
