Process Engineer

On behalf of our Medical Devices Client in Limerick, we are currently sourcing a Process Engineer to join their Team.Purpose of the role: As a member of the OEM Engineering group, this role will provide engineering solutions that improve reliability of processes and reduces cost of manufacturing.Key Responsibilities: Job divided into three specific categories. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited) to the following:New Project IntroductionInvolved in the later stages of new product introduction covering the following headings:• New process development• Process validations• New machine installation and qualification• Production systems and layout designs Process ImprovementThis will involve major process improvements, which will be driven by cost savings and on time delivery improvements. This may include:• Upgrade of current, and the development of new equipment and processes including tooling, jigs and fixtures.• Validation and development of manufacturing processes including materials and processing technology.• Source and manage vendors for the supply of new equipment and processes.• Undertake projects aimed at reducing waste, reducing costs, improving efficiency and overall company performance.• Establish and maintain programmes to ensure compliance with relevant standards, ISO , F.D.A, G.M.P. for medical devices, and environmental health and safety.Manufacturing Support Required to support manufacturing in the following issues:• Major customer complaints• Critical failures: line down situations• Validations• Mistake proofing processes• Introducing and embedding long term solutions to process issues.Qualifications/Professional skills/knowledge• Third level relevant Degree• 5+ years’ technical experience in a similar environment• Basic Project management skills• Understanding of Lean Principles• Technical report writing• Process validations/FMEA's and protocols Chemical safety Teleflex Specific competencies• Ability to work in a fluid, demanding environmentIf you have the above skills & experience, please contact or Telephone: for a confidential discussion#LI-CD1
