In this role you will work with POS (point-of-sale) retail data. You will identify any missing key product information, attributes and characteristics needed for trend analysis and update our proprietary systems appropriately. Following NPD & IRI’s merger in 2022, you will also work on integrating Food/Consumables & Gen Merch datasets & methodologies to create one seamless solution for our Walmart. What will you be doing? You will be part of the Global Data Classification Team You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness and integrity of the company’s data and products. You will identify, investigate and edit POS data for assigned categories or retailers. You will work closely with a team to deliver collective targets as well as individual objectives. Job Responsibilities Liaising and supporting outsourcing teams with coding work, demonstrating strong communication at all timesAdding, matching and inactivating retailer POS records within the company’s proprietary database based on industry rulesImproving accurate attribute coding and quality data deliveries for assigned categories and industryStrong focus on achieving set deliverables which includes, immediate incident reporting, and appropriate communication of data issues – seeing them to a successful conclusionManaging multiple categories/retailer assignments – implementing efficiencies through constant questioning of the data and the processes currently in place – always looking for better ways of workingForeseeing and escalating potential issues before they arise and troubleshootingHaving a broader awareness and understanding about the implications of any actions taken on our data – understanding the process multiple steps ahead and possible future implications to changes made to our data setCollaboration, team working and flexibility to ensure that changing priorities are met, and a positive work environment is maintained throughout project and production work Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Business, or related field with a quantitative component1-2 years of analytical experience preferred - Retail knowledge a plus.Understanding of basic SQL (or willing to learn)Passion for consulting utilizing data and analytics.An inquisitive orientation to problem-solving and analysisResponsiveness and speed with an eye for detail & accuracyAbility to work well in teams and with clients utilizing strong verbal communication skillsAbility to balance and prioritize multiple competing tasksCreative thinking Circana BehavioursAs well as the technical skills, experience and attributes that are required for the role, our shared behaviours sit at the core of our organization.
