What you'll do We are looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our European accounting operations. The role offers flexibility to work both remotely or hybrid. This is a high-profile individual contributor role. The day-to-day Leading the US GAAP monthly close process for various international entities, including reviewing and closing GL modules, account reconciliations, variance analysis, month-end journal entries, coordinating with Corporate Accounting teams on intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, FX revaluations, and other month-end processes. Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items. Leading the annual statutory close process and compliance of European entities. Coordinating and communicating with the Accounting/Finance teams and outside service providers to ensure the timely completion of the month and quarter-end processes. Reviewing European subsidiaries’ balance sheets and income statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with US GAAP while performing risk assessments for European subsidiaries. Leading new accounting system implementation & processes as Viasat continues its international growth. Helping in projects related to the growth and integration of Viasat’s business across Europe. Maintaining inter-company balances for various European subsidiaries, including preparing the monthly reconciliation packages. Coordinating with AP/AR accountants to keep all invoicing and customer billings current. Ensuring high-quality documentation and adherence to policies and procedures across European entities. Being responsible for the external/internal audits and coordinating statutory audits for the timely and efficient filing of statutory and Tax accounts for European entities. Collaborating with the statutory reporting team for timely completion and filings with regulators. What you'll need Professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA) and equivalent experience Minimum of four years of post-qualification experience either in auditing, reporting, or accounting. Public accounting experience, in the Big Four environment. Persuasive communication skills that enable clear communication to all levels of management Good understanding of US GAAP, IFRS/Irish GAAP. Some people management or mentorship experience. EU citizenship or valid Irish work permit.
