You are cross-functional and while you may specialize in frontend or backend you are comfortable jumping to the other end of the stack to get a feature shipped. You are highly collaborative and eager to both share your ideas and listen to new ones. You recognise that software development is a team effort and that your ability to effectively work together with your team is as important as your individual contributions. About the Role We are looking for an experienced engineer who is passionate about delivering high quality web applications to demanding customers. Our stack is JS/React, Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL, all hosted on Heroku. If you don’t use any of these but feel you are sufficiently expert in equivalent technologies that is ok, we would still love to hear from you. We hire people for their experience and passion, not their ability to memorize a framework. We use modern best practices for our product development process, strive to stay on the edge with our frameworks and practice continuous delivery. We’re looking for someone who has: At least 5 years of industry experience developing product features centered around user needs. Experience with both frontend and backend frameworks. A solid understanding of user centered design. Ability and passion for creating high-quality, well-tested code. Knowledge and appreciation of cloud technologies such as Heroku.
