We are currently seeking applications for the position of Property Loss Adjuster. As a member of our loss adjusting team, you will manage and bring to successful conclusion residential and commercial property claims of varying complexity. With the emphasis on the provision of an un-paralleled quality service to our clients, the successful candidate will possess exceptional analytical, negotiating, and soft skills together with an ability to work on your own initiative.Duties / ResponsibilitiesProactive management of a portfolio of residential and commercial property claims of varying complexity.Interpreting and applying policy cover, terms and conditions.Preparing reports and commenting on all aspects of the claim under investigation.Arranging interim payments, examining costs and achieving settlement.Instructing forensic investigators and other experts where appropriate.Providing a high standard of customer service to policyholders, insurers and brokers.Early identification of recovery opportunities.Identifying suspect or fraudulent claims and dealing with same in accordance with fraud guidelines.Recording and resolving customer complaints.Maintaining and updating files on internal databases ensuring all information is accurate and fully up to date.Achieving all service standards, company and contractual requirements.Key Skills & CompetenciesRelevant Insurance qualification (APA/CIP/ACII)Excellent customer service and communication skills.Knowledge of building structures with an understanding of building defects and causes.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Accuracy with exceptional attention to detail with the ability to check work of self.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.MS Office competent.Flexible in approach and the ability to work outside normal working hours when the need arises.Ability to tactfully deal with delicate and sensitive situations.Ability to work within a team and to act on own initiative.Full clean driving licence.A competitive remuneration package with an attractive performance bonus, and a quality company vehicle will be awarded to the successful candidate.
