RIP.ie is Ireland's leading online platform for death notices, recently acquired by the Irish Times Group. With 60 million page views a month, this marks another step in the digital growth strategy of the Group, to expand its range of digital services and products. Harnessing the brand reach and quality of RIP.ie, the Irish Times Group aims to unlock new opportunities for audience engagement and digital growth.   We are seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to direct RIP.ie's strategic focus, develop business development initiatives, and ensure operational excellence. You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to fuel the company's growth and success in the digital media landscape. Working closely with the Group's senior leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including business development, content and data creation and management, technology innovation, and financial performance.    Responsibilities include:   Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aimed   at achieving business objectives and driving sustainable growth. Manage financial performance, with responsibility for driving growth and profitability. Use market data to inform strategic decisions, monitor performance of all product and revenue streams, and identify  customer needs and competitive trends. Set clear performance targets and KPIs to measure the success of client accounts and business development efforts.  Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Lead the expansion of our audiences through the provision and evolution of trusted, reliable and user-friendly    content and services. Collaborate with group technology to optimise support, maintenance and development effort.  Drive value creation with strategic partners and clients by fostering relationships and identifying synergistic opportunities. Collaborate with partners to enhance the user and client experience through innovative products and solutions. Share an engaging vision with the team, inspiring commitment, and enthusiasm.   Requirements   Proven leader with extensive experience of developing and shaping a successful business strategy in a digital business. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, technology management, or related field. Proven experience in strategic partnership management, strong commercial awareness and customer focus. Strong knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Previous exposure to organisational change and digital transformation are essential.      The closing date for applications is Friday, May 24th, 2024.
