To support Sulzer Wexford manufacturing in its annual goals and longer-term strategic vision through the execution of step change projects. This role involves working closely with our local Operations teams, Product Development teams and various global functions to optimize our current processes across the full Order to Cash Value Stream. This role will lead the analysis of current production systems with the view to re-design and improve our business and industrial processes. Requires continuous critical examination of our existing production and support processes and introducing new ways of operating that are linked to Sulzer Strategy and finding step improvements by eliminating waste, reducing effort, time, materials, and energy. This role requires highly developed numericalabilities, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to solve problems and implement innovative solutions. We are looking for a/an Manufacturing Engineer - Production and Projects to join our FE_WIBU team in Ireland . Your main tasks and responsibilities: Industrial engineering – optimising production line layouts for Lean and optimum Flow Develop and deploy effective Manufacturing Execution Systems ( MES ) Deploy workplace digitisation initiatives. Implementation of Industry 4.0 in selected processes. Deployment of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in selected processes. Implementation of respective Capital Projects on new line layouts - coordinate all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, & commissioning of capital equipment. Controlling significant changes to Production Master Routings to reflect step changes in Production. Customer Witness Testing: organising and executing customer witness tests in line with required schedules and project plans. Coordinate with site Customer Service and 3rd Party Inspectors as needed. Support Project Management of Large Customer “Project Orders” when required. Work closely with all local departments to successfully execute on critical Project Orders in the plant. Where required, develop detailed project plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets. To succeed in this role, you will need: A minimum of 5 years’ experience with demonstrated ability in successful project completion. Project Management experience (A3). Waste Identification and Reduction - knowledge of the latest Lean / 6-Sigma / Continuous Improvement tools and applications in everyday industry. Industrial engineering – experience in line layouts for Lean and optimum Flow. Knowledge of Automation, Cobotics and Mechanisation in manufacturing processes Root Cause Corrective Action - knowledge of the tools and applications. Financial justification / business case and payback on Capital projects. Understanding of Value Streams and ability to conduct Value Stream mapping. Waste Identification and Reduction - knowledge of Lean tools and applications in everyday industry. Knowledge of SAP ERP System is an advantage.
