Site Safety Advisor – Solar

Our client, an industry leader in energy efficiency and renewable technologies, are seeking a Site Safety Advisor to join their team in Waterford.In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Safety Manager when attending Solar projects.Projects are country wide so travel to sites will be required, Dublin, Cork Limerick, along with other major contracts will be coming online in 2024, Good understanding of regulations and SOPs, comfortable with the inspection of Harnesses and Lanyards (Training will be Provided) Reviewing of RAMS and updating safety records, also attending and taking the lead in weekly site Safety meetings, face to face and remote.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project managers and construction managers to be sure all potential risk management and safety issues are addressedCreate and execute workplace safety programs, emergency response plans, construction safety policies, and job-site hazard analysesImplement construction health and safety training programs, including new hire safety orientationPerform construction site risk assessments, safety audits, and safety meetingsMonitor adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety regulations and safety standards on sitesInvestigate job-site safety reports and lead incident and injury evaluationsEnsure personal protective equipment is available and used correctlyIssue safety reprimands and corrective action recommendations when safety concerns are presentExperience & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, EHS/HSE, or related field is valuable3 years of experience in the construction industry as a safety advisor, safety consultant, or in risk Mid management/ safety management role.Firm understanding of construction safety standards and regulations, Working at height SOPsFamiliarity with computers and MS Office is neededAbility to work independently and excellent project management, interpersonal, and communication skills are neededIND-ST-23 Tags:
