Job DescriptionWe are actively recruiting for a Group Lead for our Sample Administration Team. The purpose of this job is to effectively manage and motivate members of the Sample Administration team. This will include responsibilities such as planning work rotas, measuring productivity, training and development of staff, housekeeping, health & safety, quality, documentation, etc. to ensure the laboratory is run at maximum efficiency.Responsible for the scheduling of work including speed and accuracy of sample receipt and delivery to relevant laboratory.Responsible for accurately logging samples into the system in a timely manner.Responsible for continuous feedback to all members of their team on all items in relation to customer or organisational requirements/changes.Responsible for handling any customer related queries where necessary and liaising with their team to problem solve these queries if needed.Metric creation and sharing with SMT, driving improvement in all Metrics associated with samples administration.Responsible for the active management of PO list, on hold list etc.Responsible for ensuring all relevant documentation is signed off and filed accurately in line with company procedures.Responsible for relevant ELIMS update roll out, management of modules and changes that impact the department. Establish and maintain Key POC’s in the European and US ELIMS Support teams.Responsible for communicating regularly with their team and all other ancillary groups to ensure information is transferred effectively throughout the organisation.Responsible for disposing of retained samples at regular intervals and completing all relevant documentation in this area.Responsible for writing and keeping updated laboratory SOPs in their area of work.Responsible for the quality of the day-to-day work coming out of their laboratory and for problem solving any quality issues with other members of the organisation.To participate in routine regulatory and customer inspections. Ensure the aeras is always audit ready.Ensure that all team members are trained and have completed training records for all training completed.Lead the recruitment and selection process for the group.Responsible for continually liaising with management, customers and other members of the organisation on any relevant problem areas or enhancements to the business.Overall responsibility for the cleanliness, tidiness and safety within the laboratory.Responsible for ensuring equipment is properly maintained and in the event of a breakdown that it is repaired in accordance with company procedures (with reference to timeliness, quality and cost.)They are responsible for keeping their training sheets up to date and initiating training where possible when free from work.Ensuring that customers’ requirements are fully met and in so doing be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.Identifying any opportunities for improvement of quality and service and work with the team to implement continuous improvement.Manage relationship with Eurofins Lab link.Drive Continuous improvement culture in the team and manage Lean Opportunities for the team.QualificationsWhat are we looking for? NCEA certificate in a related discipline or administrative qualification is preferable.At Least 4 – 5 years’ experience in an Administration role At least 2 years Leadership experience.An understanding of Good Manufacturing PractiseAbility to co-ordinate, schedule and prioritise analytical work. Excellent problem-solving skills, Experience in deviation management desirable.Excellent technical ability and strong proven leadership skills. Passionate about quality and customer service. Good team player, organised, accurate, strong documentation skills.Good communication skills both internally and externally.Ability to understand customers’ requirements and to be able to devise and articulate the most appropriate solutions. What we are offering?
