We operate two cement plants and around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.Our Kinnegad plant manufactures cement for sale throughout the island of Ireland and also exports to Great Britain through our terminal in the Port of Dublin.The RoleWe are currently looking for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our Cement plant based in Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath. This is a graduate position with potential to progress within the company.This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to work with a leading organisation on a number of exciting and challenging projects.Key ResponsibilitiesWork as part of the maintenance and engineering teams.Plan major annual plant shutdowns.Management of contractors completed various project and maintenance activities.Work closely with the Engineering team to deliver on all key performance indicators.Assist in the execution of planned, preventive, predicative and breakdown maintenance activities associated with all equipment.Proactive approach to problem identification and problem solving applying a collaborative approach in conjunction with all team members.Assist in troubleshooting plant issues as they arise & seeks to identify resolutions for same.Assist in conducting feasibility studies on improvement projects with an emphasis on creating safer working environments, understanding the environmental impact, production cost and quality.Skills, Knowledge & Expertise· Awareness of health and safety requirement.· Knowledge of Microsoft office and engineering drawing.· Excellent problem-solving ability.· Good intrapersonal and communication skills.· The ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.· A Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 2.1 grade.What we offer:25 days annual leave + 10 Bank holidaysEnhanced employer pension contributionsGroup Life AssuranceInduction and buddy programme Training and development opportunities Employee assistance programme Access to our Benefits hubFree onsite parking Gym on site, putting green and walking track
