Park Elliott are delighted to be partnering with a leading Renewable Energy Company based in Monaghan for the recruitment of an adept Fleet Manager to join their expanding team. With a huge pipeline of projects for the years ahead, this solar expert has an excellent reputation for delivering thousands of solar panels to the domestic and commercial market all across the Island of Ireland. Due to continued demand and growth, this role will work closely with the Procurement Manager, and encompasses various responsibilities, including analysis, reporting, budgeting, supervision, and negotiation. Duties include: Devising strategies to enhance cost efficiency. Ensuring compliance of the vehicle fleet with legislation and regulations. Liaising with Insurance Brokers to arrange suitable insurance for drivers and vehicles. Assisting in formulating and implementing effective fleet operation policies and procedures. Overseeing rigorous vehicle maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Utilizing vehicle tracking systems to monitor and report on driver behaviour to relevant field and operations managers. Maintaining meticulous records of vehicle inspections and services. Monitoring fleet expenses to ensure they align with the budget. Assessing and managing supplier performance. Conducting fleet audits. Managing stock checks and controls in vans. Recording, reporting, and managing damages across the fleet. Developing a Fleet strategy encompassing technology, innovation, and procurement decisions. Utilizing fuel tracking software to monitor usage, identify trends, and propose areas for enhancement. Contributing to ongoing cost control initiatives, actively seeking efficiency improvements and cost reductions. Upholding and improving Fleet Monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), taking appropriate actions to address identified issues. Leading, motivating, and developing direct reports, identifying training needs to maintain a flexible and skilled workforce. Conducting annual appraisals. Ensuring trackers are installed on all fleet vehicles. Managing and updating fleet policies and procedures, including vehicle assignment, personal use, replacement policy, accident reporting, and other protocols. Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Extensive experience in fleet management. Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen. Aptitude for making critical decisions under pressure. Proven track record in developing and implementing fleet strategies. Strong analytical capabilities. Effective leadership skills.
