Your new company Are you looking for a new challenge in the procurement industry? We are currently working with a semi-state body based in the city centre who are seeking an experienced category manager to join their commercial management team on a full-time, permanent basis. Your new role In your new role, key responsibilities include providing professional procurement expertise to deliver key business objectives and running end-to-end procurement processes in line with OJEU regulations. You will support the creation and ongoing management of appropriate commercial and contracting strategies, build strong relationships with stakeholders and implement agreed performance management and supplier development programmes. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you should have a relevant qualification supported by 4+ years of experience within the fields of category management, procurement, or supply chain management. You should also have the ability to effectively communicate, influence and collaborate with key stakeholders. You will have experience with spend-profiling, supply markets, cost drivers, analysis, reporting, and presentation, preferably within a regulatory environment. Knowledge of utilities and/or experience of public sector tendering is highly desirable, as is working knowledge of purchasing tools, platforms, and processes. Experience working with OJEU processes and working within utilities or the public sector would be essential for this role and knowledge of direct and indirect procurement of Infrastructure and Engineering services would be an advantage.
