Which is why we're looking for people to join us who share our excitement at the profound opportunities ahead.   About the role: This is a business-critical position that requires strong strategic skills and the ability to create rapport with internal colleagues and external clients as well as the leadership skill to harness a team to produce compelling work winning proposals. As Bids & Proposals Manager, you will head Leo Lynch's central work winning function to produce industry-leading, project-winning bid proposals and documents. This will involve taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process, managing across the bidding life cycle from expression of interest / pre-qualification / invitation to tender through to contract award. You will work with multiple Leo Lynch stakeholders across a range of disciplines and geographies to develop excellent technical, qualitative and commercial propositions that align with the Leo Lynch brand. You will have ultimate responsibility for collating all the required input(s) to produce optimal proposal documents that will realise a step-change improvement in Leo Lynch's bidding success / conversion rate. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the "Work winning" team to develop and deliver top-quality bids, proposals etc Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially compelling bids. Influence the team's approach to bids by developing and driving 'win-strategy' thinking. Lead the production of the company's bids across all stages of the bid life-cycle. Manage the question and response process (allocate questions, chase responses, write original responses, re-write, edit and improve key responses). Drive, evaluate and manage input from subject-matter experts and stakeholders across all levels. Contribute to the final proposal across written content, presentation etc. Manage the bidding pipeline to ensure maximum time is available for each bid. Encourage cross-company collaboration by building strong relationships across regions / sectors. Introduce and implement all necessary bid procedures, governance and processes. Build relationships with key external stakeholders that supports the pipeline of bids. Undertake substantial company and industry research to write authoritative and persuasive narratives. Be responsible for establishing and maintaining the firm's repository of best-practice evidence / knowledge-management data. Arrange and undertake post-bid reviews.  Provide mentorship and support to junior and mid-career colleagues. Promote behaviours that reflect the Leo Lynch core values. Requirements This role requires someone with outstanding organisational and communication skills, is highly motivated and motivational, with great energy and attention to detail, possessing a 'can-do' attitude and with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Moreover, someone with a proven track record in securing high-value complex engineering, consultancy and construction services solutions based on: An excellent understanding of the mechanical, process industrial services and specialist engineering industry with particular experience of the pharma, biotech, advanced manufacturing, semi-conductors, food and beverage and data-centre markets Strong bid management experience with a proven ability to win work in a bidding and estimating environment Highly organised, meticulous and able to work under pressure to hit strict deadlines Experience in developing and implementing bid-winning strategies Team player able to work effectively with multiple other internal stakeholders including marketing and business development functions An excellent eye for detail with outstanding commercial skills and acumen Able to provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions as well as direct input into bid content Comfortable engaging with people at all levels (internal and external clients) Prepared to go the extra mile to get the job done and won!
