Civil Resident Engineer – Water

As Resident Engineer – Water you will provide supervision and management on a programme of work to deliver new and upgrade water network improvements in the North East of Ireland in Meath, Westmeath, Longford and Louth. Due to on-going contract awards this Global Engineering Consultancy firm have a requirement for a Resident Engineer to work on water projects in the region. You should be able to demonstrate previous experience in either the design or construction of watermain upgrades and rehabilitation techniques, leakage repair etc.As Resident Engineer – Water you will be responsible for the following:Working alongside Regional Contractors to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with the Contract and legislationLiaising with Local Authorities in delivering projectsCarrying out HSQE audits and managing HSQE issuesProcessing work ordersService Request ApprovalUpdating trackersReviewing and approval of as laid drawingsWorking with IW Design Engineers to help provide any clarity to deliver the projectDeal with complaintsProvide feedback to Regional Leads and IWAttend and manage meetings with Regional Contractors and IWKeeping recordsCreate list of snags and sign off when completeVisiting site before works commence to envisage any problems that could potentially arise and feedback findings to IW Design EngineersTo be considered for this role you will have:At least 5 years satisfactory post graduate experience in on-site supervision, site engineering of civil engineering works to include water projects.A Degree in a related discipline such as Civil Engineering.Capable of writing clear and concise reports and keeping works records.Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.A current and valid SafePass card is essential, confined spaces training would be desirable.You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to act within a team at all times.
