Reporting to the VP Sales, as a Sales Manager, your primary focus will be leading and developing a team of 8 Account Executives acquiring new clients within the mid-range segment of the Business Expense market across all industries. Who You Are: • Experience in tech sales with at least 2 years management experience leading a team in a start up / scale up. • An adept closer: You have a proven track record in a closing role as an individual contributor. • FinTech experience is desirable. • Able to accurately forecast team performance • Passionate about coaching, mentorship, and team management • Motivated by helping people grow with a desire to continue learning • A self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, rapidly changing marketplace • Proven in overseeing an outbound sales team in all areas of the sales cycle Responsibilities: • Business Development Strategies: Develop and implement effective business development strategies to engage and convert prospects into clients. This includes understanding client needs, positioning the company's solutions, delivering compelling presentations, and demonstrating the value of our offerings. • Team Management: Oversee the sales team assigned to you and provide leadership, guidance, and support. Responsible for setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and ensuring overall team success. • Sales Process Management: Take ownership of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL’s), from initial outreach and qualification to contract negotiation and closing deals. Collaborate with internal teams, such as product specialists and sales admin, to ensure smooth onboarding and successful closing. • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in clients and prospects. Understand their pain points, business objectives, and challenges, and position the company as a trusted advisor and solution provider. • Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals. Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue generation, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and drive customer satisfaction and retention. • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and customer success, to align strategies, share market insights, and ensure consistent messaging and customer experience. • Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline management using CRM systems. Generate regular sales reports, provide sales forecasts, and communicate progress to sales leadership.
