Certified as a  GREAT PLACE TO WORK,  Trump International Doonbeg is home to a proud and motivated workforce of over 300 staff during high season, offering a world class 5 Star Hotel workplace, with the beauty and balance of west Clare living.   Job Title:                                     Sales Manager - MICE & Corporate Responsible To:                       Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) Type of Contract:                    Full-time, Permanent   Main Purpose of Job:   The  Sales Manager  is an individual who ideally has the experience of the sales process and function of a hotel in the MICE and corporate sectors. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating business.  To ensure that professional, efficient, friendly, detailed and timely service is provided to all internal and external clients and guests. Maximise revenues by ensuring the department is effectively booking, forecasting, planning, co-ordinating, billing, and analysing all detail, together with up-selling resort products and services.   MAIN DUTIES Primary Focus To be proactive with locating and developing new business in line with the revenue and sales targets from MICE & Corporate sectors. Establish new business over and above the base business in the hotel through direct corporate and event agency business. Establish key relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and industry associations to ensure maximum exposure and increase revenue. Organise corporate sales promotional initiatives including regular planned road trips, telephone, and video sales calls to sell the facilities. Obtain an agreed number of 'in-person' sales appointments per month, both out of the office and in-house. Encourage full usage of all facilities to maximise sales. Take responsibility for client group bookings from sale through to post-event call, be responsible for delivering information on the booking/event to the operations team in a timely manner. Complete post-event call to client to get feedback. Secondary Focus To ensure all opportunities are taken to promote products & services to our customers and to increase the client base. Be aware of the key trends in the market and take appropriate action. Be mindful of what our competitors are doing/developing in the marketplace and report accordingly. Have extensive knowledge, or be capable of acquiring this knowledge quickly, of competitor hotels and what business is booking into the area and from what sources where possible. Host any promotion events or site visits as required by the DOSM. Be present in Trump Doonbeg to meet and greet customers as appropriate. Entertain prospective clients where appropriate. Attend Sales Meetings at Doonbeg & dial into daily conference calls when off-site. Follow the corporate pricing strategies set by the Revenue Director. Ensure accurate client and prospecting information is recorded in the company Salesforce. Collect accurate information for client bookings to the relevant departments. Ensure that the Finance department is given accurate information for billing if required. Be pro-active in putting forward suggested actions to achieve the department’s targets. Carry out other duties/tasks outside normal routines but within the overall scope of the job or as requested by management. Manage special projects under the direction of the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM). Ensure personal presentation is of the highest standards at all times to project a professional image to clients.
