Position: Scrum Master The Scrum Master is instrumental in creating high-performing teams by driving efficient product delivery and fostering a deep understanding of Agile principles and team dynamics. They coach teams on Agile practices, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and act as a shield from distractions. The Scrum Master works closely with the Product Owner and the development team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals. As a key figure in the team's continuous improvement, they serve as both coach and innovator. This role oversees multiple squads across different time zones. Preferred Skills Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent experience. Strong expertise in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication abilities. Solid problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Proven track record of conflict resolution and fostering team collaboration. Experience in software development within the insurance sector, particularly in high-net-worth insurance, is a plus. Ability to build relationships and navigate corporate environments. Understanding of technical issues at a high level. A commitment to continued learning in Agile practices through training, conferences, or self-study. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master. Responsibilities Facilitate key Scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives across multiple squads. Support the Product Owner in managing the product backlog, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring alignment with team priorities and scope. Report risks and track product roadmap milestones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored software solutions for the high-net-worth insurance market. Remove impediments or direct the team to those who can address blockers. Foster a safe and trusting environment where open communication is encouraged. Lead discussions, decision-making processes, and conflict resolution. Improve transparency and communication through effective internal and external messaging. Ensure adherence to Agile principles, promoting collaboration, accountability, and visibility. Bring passion and energy to the role, creating a positive, effective work environment. Build strong relationships within teams, product owners, and across the organization to deliver business value. Track and manage team goals, key metrics, and productivity, continually working towards improvement. Manage governance, reporting, and monitoring activities as defined by the delivery framework. Seek guidance from senior resources and mentor less experienced team members. Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of both Agile and non-Agile initiatives. Act as a change agent for Agile adoption, helping teams become more Agile and removing obstacles to success. Serve as a servant leader, accountable for Agile practices and delivery within the team(s)/squad(s). Identify and remove impediments to ensure consistent team performance and work flow.
