Security Engineer (Remote)

Job Title: Security EngineerReports To: Manager – IT Security EngineerDepartment: Information SecurityLocation: Remote – IrelandHours of Work: 37.5 hours weeklyJob Overview:As a Prometric Security Engineer, you will be a core player who participates in and leads multiple security efforts. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and our enterprise teams to ensure that Prometric brands and products are secure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the field. This position requires expertise in Palo Alto NGFW, Meraki, and NSX DFW.Main Duties & Responsibilities:Documenting and maintaining the documentation for the networking infrastructure, data flows, security compliance, and ports-and-protocols requirements.Firewall rule analysis, clean up, requests, and troubleshooting URL requests using content filtering in Meraki.Applying hardening and best practices to firewalls.Plan, design, and implement Microsegmentation solutions.Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and audits to identify and mitigate network security risks and gaps.IDS/IPS deployment and maintenance.Essential Criteria:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).Technical Certification in Security or vendor specific certifications in Palo Alto, Cisco, etc. are desirable.3+ years of network security work experience.Hands-on experience working with Panorama and management of multiple firewall device groups and templates.Accustomed to working in a complex environment developing complex solutions in a cybersecurity context.Previous experience configuring vulnerability and system hardening scans.Previous experience with micro-segmentation, rule analysis, and cleanup.Hands-on experience with security technologies such as Firewall rules, IDS/IPS, VPN policy administration, threat prevention.Must have very strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.Must be able to pay strong attention to detail while multi-tasking and maintaining organizational skills.Desirable Criteria:Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users.Ability to communicate at a conceptual level to management and at a detailed level to engineers and administrators.Time management and strong communication skills.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality results on time.Employee Benefits:Pension SchemeHealthcare SchemeLife AssuranceEmployee Health and Wellbeing InitiativesEnhanced Annual Leave24/7 Employee Assistance ProgrammeEnhanced Maternity/Paternity LeaveSocial ClubFree car parkingWhen applying state you found this job on Pangian.com Remote Network. #J-18808-Ljbffr
