Fohntech Group which has its headquarters in Tralee, Co Kerry, was established in 2017 and is now one of the leading construction services companies in Ireland, currently partnering on several high-profile industrial projects in Ireland, the UK and Europe.   Due to the continued growth of our business, we are currently seeking a Newly Qualified/ Finalist Accountant who will assist the Financial Controller in the efficient running of the company’s finance function. (We will also consider a senior, experienced book-keeper). You will show leadership and develop and support strategic business planning, budgeting & forecasting activities.   This is a growing company and will suit you if you enjoy working on your own initiative. The role reports to the Financial Controller and is a Full-time Permanent Position, with room for career progression. Key duties & responsibilities Assist with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts – Debtors, Creditors ledger and Payroll Ensure Monthly and Quarterly activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner. Support budgeting and forecasting activities Oversee weekly cash flow forecast and monitoring of banks Manage monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts and all balance sheet accounts Assist in the planning and co-ordination of year end auditing process Prepare ad-hoc tasks including Reports for Management as and when required Contribute to the review of accounts processes to drive system optimisation and process improvement Liaise with both internal and external service providers as required Support other financial activities as required Skills /Experience Newly Qualified/Finalist Accountant/Experienced book-keeper Ability to adapt and problem solve quickly in a changing and dynamic environment with a proven track record of driving process improvements and efficiencies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude. Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong business relationships Good general IT skills (Sage, MS office etc) Proven experience of operational, finance and budgeting systems in a growing organisation Must be eligible to work within the EU
