Everest Insurance (Ireland) dac (“EIID”) provides insurance services across Europe, serving key stakeholders within EIID’s branch network (France, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, and The United Kingdom) and the wider Everest group.EIID’s Financial Control and Reporting team in Dublin are hiring a Finance Process Manager focussed on the integration of business expansion and change initiatives within the European finance function and managing the related process changes as part of a plan to scale-up and support Everest’s wider growth plan. The Finance Process Manager will report to the Financial Controller - Europe and work alongside the wider team on a day to day basis.Key responsibilities:Represent the European finance team on business/product/system expansion or change initiatives.Understand the impact of changes on existing finance processes, reporting and accounting.Work with the wider team to manage resolution of accounting and reconciliation issues.Develop and agree new processes and changes to existing processes, as appropriate.Implement required changes, including reporting changes.Manage SOX implementation for the European finance insurance team.Support internal and external audit processes, as required.Help to develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting and financial controls across the Company.Support finance transformation to drive process and system improvements to enable increased efficiency and accuracy.Provide support on various Financial Control & Reporting team projects, as required.Qualifications, Education & Experience:Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with relevant financial services experience, preferably in the insurance industry.Strong academic background with a relevant Bachelor’s degree.Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:A highly organised, ambitious self-starter, with the ability to prioritise workload and take ownership for areas of responsibility.Strong communication skills with the ability to interact constructively within the team and across multiple stakeholders.Strong understanding of Insurance accounting principles.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Analytical, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy being essential.Our CultureAt Everest, our purpose is to provide the world with protection.
