The purpose of the Team Lead role is to take responsibility for the shift when they are on duty and provide support to the Service Manager (PIC) in providing the best possible care to the individuals supported in the Service.   Service Delivery       Take the lead on shift when on duty in the service.         Participate in the provision of direct care to individuals, following established care plans, protocols, and procedures.       Assist in assessing the needs of individuals under care and developing individualised care plans.       Ensure the implementation of appropriate care interventions and monitor the progress and outcomes of care.   Training & Development       Assist in training and orienting new care team members, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively.        Assist in organising and facilitating training programs and workshops for the team to enhance their knowledge and skills.   Compliance & Documentation       Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of care plans, assessments, and other relevant records        Monitor and ensure the completion of required documentation by team members in a timely manner Quality Assurance       Assist in implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care services provided.       Conduct regular audits and checks to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement. Communication & Collaboration         Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team, promoting effective communication and teamwork. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in the care sector, with some experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.        Relevant qualifications in healthcare, nursing, social work, or a related field         Strong knowledge of care practices, protocols, and regulatory requirements in the care sector.         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.         Proficient in documentation and record-keeping, with attention to detail.         Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and work under pressure         Strong organisational and problem-solving skills         Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-oriented approach to care         Flexibility to work 12 hrs & 24 hr shifts, including days / nights, weekends, as required - Full Manual Driving licence is a mandatory requirement   This job description is a general outline of the key responsibilities and qualifications expected of a Team Lead, it is not an exhaustive list.
