Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer, Water/Wastewater

Job Description What your new role will entail; Our multidisciplinary Water Engineering team in Ireland are looking for a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Water team. The team are delivering an exciting portfolio of water projects with key clients including NI Water, Uisce Éireann and contractors. This role represents a great opportunity to develop your career. You will be responsible for the following: Producing feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support. Producing design drawings, electrical plant selection and specification. Liaising and collaborating with our water and other discipline teams including civil, electrical, process and mechanical engineers nationwide. Deliver a high calibre of technical quality, contribute to bids, interface with clients and collaborators in design and planning. Deliver to agreed budget, programme and quality along with supporting the preparation of project budget & programme. Responsible for the design of electrical installations typically including municipal water and wastewater pumping stations. Assessing existing and proposed capacities, load schedules and power supply requirements. Liaising with power utility companies and managing power supply upgrades and connections. Site visits to carry out site surveys and the support of liaisons with clients, contractors & suppliers. Producing plant layouts, technical specifications, equipment schedules, and P&IDs. Being part of the team; Work closely with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers to deliver a variety of interesting small to large projects from concept to delivery . Qualifications Here's what we will need from you; A degree or equivalent in electrical engineering Chartered Engineer Status (or approaching chartered status) of relevant professional institution; for example, IET Able to take full responsibility for producing, checking and approving engineering reports, designs, drawings, technical specifications and calculations Lead and mentor a small team of engineers and technicians with line manager responsibilities Extensive water and wastewater project experience across feasibility, outline, detailed design and construction support Additional Information Want to find out more about the role or what working at AECOM is like?
