Your new company Your new company is a medium sized Mechanical Contractor in Dublin who are in Ireland’s top 10. They specialise in the installation of HVAC systems and Building services, along with FM and a highly awarded BIM department. They have a variety of multi million projects such as Mixed Use, Commercial and Healthcare. They are heavily involved in the community supporting local GAA teams, sponsoring University Scholarships and charity work is very dear to their heart. The role of BIM Manager is an integral role within the organisation, particularly as it sits with Senior Management. Your new role As a BIM Manager, you will oversee the production of project information models which contain 3D visualisations that bring together data, drawings and schedules associated with the design and construction phase of the projects. You will work closely with the project delivery team, designers and subcontractors to provide and manage project documentation. You will be required to sit in on meetings with Main Contractors and important clients to be their sole Design representative. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing BIM Strategy within the organisation and be the project-based BIM point of contact and be responsible for the delivery of BIM & digital objectives on the project during its entire lifecycle from pre-construction, through to handover and operation What you'll need to succeed You should have an education in Mechanical/Electrical Building Services/Engineering and at least 3 year’s practical BIM experience in a similar environment. Experience in either implementing BIM in a previous role, or else ready to take that step. You must have excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with Senior clients at progress meetings. You must have a strong understanding of BIM standards, in depth knowledge of MEP Revit.
