Opportunity: Working as a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine within the HSE (Ireland's public health system) you'll provide high-quality care to patients in the Stroke Medicine department at this leading teaching hospital in Donegal. Where possible the post holder will participate with academic and clinical colleagues to enhance the hospital's research activities within the research governance framework. This role is not a substantive post but will be a relatively long-term contract of 1 year with a view of going permanent. Basic Salary scale between € 222,215- € 266,925 in accordance with the HSE 2023 Consultant contract Full comprehensive relocation package on offer 30 days annual leave 10 public holidays Continuous Medical Education leave Hours: 37 hours per week, plus on-call supplements Essential Criteria Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Geriatric Medicine or be eligible to obtain specialist registration. Or must be on or working towards Specialist Registration of the IMC Training and wide experience knowledge within Stroke, Acute or Care of the Elderly is advantageous.
