About the team : Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. As our international organization expands rapidly and becomes more complex, so too does the regulatory and legal environment. We are therefore setting up a new team to partner with business, legal and compliance teams to implement and deliver on requirements on regulatory regimes, execute legal and regulatory obligations, monitor compliance. The Regulatory delivery and Transparency - Content Safety function aims to be the strategic partner of TikTok departments, starting with Trust & Safety (T&S) team, in close partnership with relevant Legal and Compliance teams, to best address content and safety regulatory requirements applicable to TikTok. To do so, this team will drive collaboration, execution, and synergy across all TikTok critical departments (including Trust and Safety, Tiktok Product, E-Commerce, Live, Monetization). The team will facilitate the execution of smooth cross-functional and cross-regional regulatory projects, with a forward focus mindset for continual development. The function drives and supports legislative change initiatives for leadership within the organization so that we can ensure compliance and fulfilment of legal obligations to the highest standard. Please note this opportunity can be based in Dublin, Ireland or San Jose, California, USA. Responsibilities:- Deliver critical legal and regulatory projects that relate to content and safety in Europe and globally including the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Online Safety Bill - Plan and prioritise execution of roadmap obligations across functions, in partnership with TikTok's Compliance and Legal teams- Drive coordination and delivery of external regulatory and legal requirements together with departments in charge of execution, including Trust and Safety, TikTok Product, E-Commerce and Monetization Integrity. Key responsibilities include: - Oversee legal and regulatory obligations impacting content and safety including but not limited to obligations relating to content moderation - Lead on the delivery of accurate, high quality and legally compliant transparency reports - Set and monitor Control and Assurance measures across a range of regulatory obligations - Support and coordinate resources and teams to support the Legal and compliance teams with their engagement with the European Commission (., Requests for investigation or data requests from vetted researchers) - Lead the redefinition of T&S processes to best meet external regulatory requirements in a scalable manner - Communicate with and update senior leadership teams in partnership with Legal and Compliance teams on status of projects, compliance gaps, decision-making and priorities - Experienced leader in business transformation and transversal project coordination with at least seven years in people management.- Extensive leadership experience ideally within the technology or internet industry.- Proven achievements in the planning, coordination and execution of complex strategic initiatives across multiple geographic regions with the ability to execute at a tactical level and complete project implementations.- A proactive and problem-solving mindset. You are curious and are constantly striving to improve the world around you.- Proven capability in data analysis; ability to draw insights from a comprehensive point of view.- Excellent ability to communicate, perform and react well under pressure and ambiguity, with senior leadership. - Flexibility to accommodate time zone differences.
