Laboratory Technician Environment Chemistry

Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to prepare and analyse customer samples keeping in mind efficiency, quality and accuracy standards as required by the company.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Become competent in the preparation of samples for analysis.Become competent in the laboratory work practices and requirements that facilitate analysis.Become familiar with all relevant laboratory test methods and procedures i.e. SOP’s.Ensure Compliance to the 17025 standard at all times by adhering to the in house quality procedures provided.Complete all documentation on time, accurately and legibly.QualificationsDegree level qualification in Environmental Chemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry or other relevant subjectRecord of ongoing professional developmentPrevious experience working within an accredited contract testing laboratory or related industry laboratory environment are preferred but full training will be providedThorough understanding of relevant quality system and accreditation requirementsGood keyboards skills and experience of LIMS Systems, MS Office packages in particular Excel.Good standard of written and spoken English and numeracy skills.Additional InformationWho we are looking for:Hard working self-motivated and professional team playerAbility to work well under pressureExcellent attention to detailAbility to multi-task, prioritize, organise and co-ordinate your own workloadGood written and verbal communication skills
