Warehouse Material Handler

We are seeking to appoint a Material Handler to assist with organising the arrival, storage, issue and recording of material movements to and from a high-volume Production floor. The Material Handler will also assist as required with the maintenance of inventory and traceability records. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate, control and expedite the flow of materials to and from the Production floor according to production and shipping schedules/priorities Accurately maintain inventory by identifying, labelling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and by recording the location and movement of all inventory as required; completing and maintaining all related documentation as required Assist with the reception of material deliveries to ensure that the advised quantities of the correctly delivered items coincide with the purchase order Process delivery notes and ensure that all deliveries match to invoices as far as quantity is concerned Ensure quality of materials by performing checks as required Follow instructions to understand material moving orders Count and weigh materials to ensure accuracy Load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using appropriate equipment (including counterbalance forklift, reach truck and electric pallet trucks) as required in compliance with health and safety standards Assist with cycle count raw materials and finished goods inventory as required Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on work orders and transport materials to and from storage areas as required Prepare, protect and pack consignments for delivery to customer and/or suppliers, ensuring that the items despatched will be protected during transit Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; using equipment as appropriate and in a safe manner, highlighting maintenance issues, etc. Ensure all waste is handled per company standards and maintain high standards of housekeeping in work area, ensuring that it is kept clean and tidy at all times Promote strong working relationships with all stakeholders, particularly Production and Warehouse Adhere to health and safety rules and procedures, promoting a safe workplace for all The ideal candidate will: Be flexible to work on a four-cycle shift roster basis, to include day, night and weekend work Have previous relevant material handling/warehousing experience Hold a valid forklift license and be proficient in the operation of power tools, hand tools and machinery Have strong health and safety awareness Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Be able to work independently and as a team player Be well-organised, highly self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, pressurised environment Be proficient in MS Office and have previous experience working with an ERP system MGS is an equal opportunities employer To Apply Please forward your CV via the APPLY Now button below.
