We now have an exciting opportunity for a Group leader of Devices to join our medical device manufacturing team at our Ballytivnan, Sligo site. The Group leader will support the Operations Supervisor with planning and communicating of workload for their shift, reporting on production efficiencies and completing batch reviews. The Group Lead will also lead the team when required in the absence of the Supervisor and ensure that all their daily duties are being completed. The successful candidate must be willing to work shift patterns that could include Evenings or Nights. Other responsibilities include: Preparation and processing of moulding and ancillary equipment. Preparation and processing of assembly and ancillary equipment. Preparation and operation of Pad Printing and ancillary equipment. Preparation and operation of manual assembly and ancillary equipment. Work with Supervisor and Management ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the production areas. Plan and communicate the daily production work load. Report to Management daily on production efficiencies. Attend Management and production related meeting when required and be involved in executing any actions required. Lead a team when required in the absence of the Supervisor and ensure that all their daily duties are being completed. Ensure equipment is operated and maintained in an efficient manner Delegating duties to operators. Team co-ordination to maximize the effectiveness of all of the team members. Keep QA and Management informed of non-conformances in a timely manner. Work with the QA Team to ensure that all products are meeting their required standards at all times. Promote a culture of quality among the team. Complete Batch reviews on PI Sheets and applicable paperwork and ensure Batch Right First Time. Troubleshooting day to day manufacturing issues which may impact on efficiencies, safety or quality. Continually review production methods/operating procedures with a view improving efficiency and output. Ensure completion of Line Clearances and Verification are done efficiently. Ensuring completion of quality checks. Coordinating Transport of Materials/Components from/to Warehouse. Documentation of all activities in line with GMP requirements. Qualifications Leaving Certificate or equivalent standard Essential Certificate or higher in a relevant Engineering/ Science Discipline is desirable. Previous experience of working in a regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous. Previous supervisory/ Team lead experience is essential.
