We operate two cement plants and around 80 quarries, 40 tarmac plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.Our Kinnegad plant manufactures cement for sale throughout the island of Ireland and exports to Great Britain through our terminal in the Port of Dublin.Purpose of JobTo assist the Stores coordinator in warehouse and maintaining an effective administration system.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitoring of the delivery of goods, materials, and services, ensuring that delivery documentation is checked against original order placed, and where there are discrepancies or exceptions to the original order take necessary action or bring this to the attention of the stores coordinator or procurement to rectify this with the supplier.General warehouse upkeep & any other reasonable duties as necessitated by your function.Carrying out of racking & pallet inspections and lean 5S auditsCarrying out Forklift prestart checks, Forklift driving & the unloading of vehiclesCollecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for shipping or as part of a planned maintenance schedule. Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer.Stock counting and location checks.Compliance with Health & Safety Rules and RegulationsUphold the values/Culture of the business.Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseBuild and maintain effective working relationships with the Procurement & Supply team.Build and maintain effective working relationship with colleagues.Forklift license and continually update all areas of knowledge required to carry out the job at maximum effectiveness and attend training when required. To maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach to your job and set the highest possible standards for yourself and your co-workers.Self-motivated and the ability to work of own initiative.Good communication skills.
