Maintenance Technician

My client, a leading multinational company based in the Southwest of Limerick, who design and manufacture innovative plastic packaging, are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of the production lines. This role involves working closely with the Lead Technician and engineering teams to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise machinery and equipment, ultimately reducing downtime and improving productivity. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe working environment, strictly following safety protocols. Diagnose and resolve issues in partnership with engineering teams, focusing on continuous improvement. Assist in the introduction and validation of new tooling and equipment as needed. Maintain work areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. Perform routine maintenance on production lines within a fast-paced environment. Troubleshoot machinery and auxiliary equipment issues, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and reduce downtime. Qualifications and Experience: Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter Craft Certificate or equivalent. Experience in injection moulding is a plus, but not required (training provided). Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Previous experience in a factory environment is beneficial. Willingness to travel globally for technical support when necessary. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, energetic, and positive with a proactive approach to work.
