Certified as a  GREAT PLACE TO WORK,  Trump International Doonbeg is home to a proud and motivated workforce of over 300 staff during high season, offering a world class 5 Star Hotel workplace, with the beauty and balance of west Clare living.   Job Title:                                    Bar Team Member Department:                           Food & Beverage Responsible To:                       Bar Manager Main Purpose of Job:               To provide a friendly and efficient service within the dining and any other food service areas, dispensing both food and beverage order accurately, with courtesy to the standard required according to legislation and the internal standards set out by Trump International Doonbeg. Liaises with:                             Culinary Department, Front Desk, Managers on Duty.   MAIN DUTIES Arrives to work on time, appropriately groomed and in the correct uniform. Welcomes guests and describes and recommends beverages. Serves hot and cold beverage and snacks from both behind the bar and on the floor. Mixes, garnishes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes. Describes and recommend wines to the guest and responds to any questions. Delivers careful monitoring ensuring that no person under the age of 18 is served alcoholic beverages and that tobacco regulations are adhered to. Takes note of guest’s orders at bar counter and accurately conveys the order via the POS (point of sale) system to culinary staff for preparation. Consistently adheres to the five-star standard of service. Ensures bar and lounge areas are consistently cleaned and stocked. Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display per company standards . Provides guests with any information they require on the property or the local area, including providing directions. Removes used glasses or tableware from the counter. Prepares checks and delivers them to customers. Ensures all drink orders are accounted in point of sale immediately. Processes cash and credit card payments and returns change to customers. Responsible for all cash taken while on shift, ensuring guest check are signed and charged to the correct suite.  Addresses any customer concerns in a professional manner and notifies management of same. Ensures that all guests requests are responded to immediately. Perform cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets and rugs, tidying bar, dusting a polishing brass and silverware. Ensures all bar equipment is washed and sterilised as necessary. Prepares bar for service for next shift. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, staff may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel which can include day, evening or weekend shifts. Participates in training programmes as required. QUALIFYING CRITERIA Minimum of 2 years previous bar experience essential. Knowledge & experience of five-star hospitality an advantage. Good organisational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer focused. Operates to a very high-quality standard. Positive, can do attitude. Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure.  Must be over 18 years of age due to service of alcohol. Additional languages an advantage.
