Join us a valued member of a top-performing team.As a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & technology controls team, you are part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As an emerging member of the security engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical area, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.Job responsibilities Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Execute standard security solutions in accordance with existing playbooks to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (., product, platform, and application owners) Write secure and high-quality code with limited guidance Apply specialized tools (. vulnerability scanner) to analyze and correlate incident data to identify, interpret, and summarize probability and impact of threats when determining specific vulnerabilities Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on Information Systems concepts and proficient applied experience in security engineering Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages(Java or Python) Experience operating, implementing and improving distributed and highly concurrent service-based architectures, including microservices, containerized services, and/or serverless architectures Hands-on experience with container management and orchestration (using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes) Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security Experience in building out observability to continuously monitor understand the health of systems, using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Cloudwatch, Splunk Desirable qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification in the area of security engineering
