Sonas Technical are currently seeking a Pre-Production Planner for our continuously growing client, a leading Engineering company who specialise in the bespoke design and manufacturing of steel projects to various industries – industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical to name a few. The successful person will receive a strong remuneration package with a host of benefits and be based in our clients site in Wexford. You will become part of the commercial supply chain team and will mainly be responsible for the planning activity including creating Sales orders and works orders.Why apply with Sonas? We can provide insights to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerOne point of contact – We can manage all your applications, interviews and negotiationsWe will get your CV seen by the right hiring managers The ideal candidate will:Create, control and maintain the SAP Item master data which supports our supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering functions.Apply diligent attention to detail and a knowledge of Sap, Bills of Material and Process Planning.Ideally have worked in a similar role in manufacturing or equivalent environment and will have demonstrated their ability to work with others constructively to solve problems and deliver for the customer.What is on offer to you:Full-time, permanent position.26 days annual leave.Attractive salary based on experience.Company Pension.Cycle to Work Scheme.Discount on health insurance.Discount on gym membership.Free on-site parking.Death in Benefit.Free on-site access to the annual flu vaccination.Social club.What you will do:Work within the Pre-Production commercial supply chain team.Process quotations to sales, and production orders using SAP.Maintain Item Master Data for products.Manage MRP requirements of stock products to manager.Work with Engineering teams and Manufacturing team to process production orders.Prepare reports for review by manager.Manage stock levels.Qualifications / Competencies required:Have a relevant third level business or equivalent qualification.Minimum five years’ experience working in a manufacturing facility or equivalent.Good working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system.Strong capabilities in maintaining processes and procedures.Ability to read and understand drawings would be a distinct advantage.Ability to work as part of team and under own incitive.A strong work ethic with a drive to deliver excellence.High level of attention to detail.Experience in Lean working methodologies would be an advantage.
