Job Title: BIM Coordinator Location: Dublin Job Description: As a BIM Coordinator you will play a critical role in our project management team. You will be responsible for coordinating Building Information Modelling (BIM) efforts across various projects, ensuring efficient collaboration among different teams, and leveraging BIM technology to streamline project workflows. This position will require a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and effective communication. Role Responsibilities: BIM Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to oversee and manage BIM processes and standards across projects. Model Development: Create, manage, and maintain BIM models for projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards. Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks on BIM models to identify and resolve issues, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, ensuring BIM models are utilized effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Training: Provide training and support to team members to enhance their BIM proficiency and ensure best practices are followed. BIM Standards: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and standards related to BIM, and ensure that the company's BIM protocols are aligned with the latest developments. Project Support: Assist in project-specific tasks related to BIM, such as clash detection, quantity take-offs, and visualization. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BIM processes, procedures, and project-specific requirements. Experience and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or a similar role in the construction or AEC industry. Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools. Strong understanding of BIM standards and practices (e.g., ISO 19650, LOD, COBie). Familiarity with project management concepts and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse project teams. Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve BIM-related issues effectively. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends. Relevant certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are a plus. Familiarity with other software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is beneficial.
