Finance Manager

A diverse senior finance role for an experienced qualified Accountant with a leading not-for-profit organisation. This is a new position as the organisation expands in Europe and now needs to bring in a Senior Qualified Accountant to manage the finance function and team in their Dublin based European Head OfficeThe Finance Manager will report to the local Managing Director with a dotted line to the Head Office Finance Director, whilst supervising a small finance team. This person will prepare accounts under IFRS & local GAAP, financial plans and forecasts whilst providing strategic support to the management team and preparing reports for fundersKey Tasks will include:Oversee preparation of month-end and year-end accounts for multiple international entitiesPrepare financial plans, budgets and forecastsLead and manage a small finance team Prepare financial reports and presentations Supervise external and internal auditsPrepare statutory returnsSupport the establishment of new offices, as requiredSystems development & process improvementCompliance and internal controlsIdeally, you will be a Qualified Accountant with 7 years + pqe; possess strong technical accounting, reporting and staff management experience, ideally with good exposure to the audit process and taxation. You will also need to have good interpersonal skills, be happy to prepare a set of accounts and also to liaise with the Managing Director at a strategic level.
