Are you a Social Care Worker with CORU registration and experience working with children in care? Medforce have an opportunity available for a CORU registered Social Care Worker to join a well-established team in County Louth. This is a truly exciting opportunity to join a friendly, robust Assessment and Intervention team. Assessment and Intervention Team - In this role, you will conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths, and develop targeted intervention plans to ensure child safety and well-being. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, provide direct support to families, and make informed decisions to safeguard vulnerable children. The Social Care Worker will have strong analytical skills, experience in child protection, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and their families during challenging times. In this role you will be given regular supervision and you will be supported closely by your colleagues. Contract: A specified Purpose contract beginning at 6 months with a view to extend, full-time 39 hours, Monday - Friday. Plus 29 days paid holidays and 10 bank holidays. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks, strengths, and needs. Develop and implement intervention plans aimed at promoting child welfare and family support. Provide direct care, guidance, and advocacy to children, young people, and families. Work collaboratively with social workers, therapists, schools, and other stakeholders to coordinate care. Maintain accurate, detailed case records and reports in line with Tuslas standards. Attend case conferences, court hearings, and other relevant meetings. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your practice. Essential Criteria: A recognised qualification in Social Care Registration with CORU is essential Experience working with children in the system Excellent interpersonal, communication, initiative, teamwork and time management skills Knowledge of policy, legislation and best practice guidelines relevant to social work practice issues. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
