Team Leader – EveningsApplications are invited for the position of Team Leader Evenings in Value Centre Galway on a permanent full-time basis.Purpose of the RoleThe successful candidate will provide support to the Cash & Carry Management Team to ensure the Value Centre operates in a professional, compliant and profitable manner. Key responsibilities include Providing support in the absence of the Cash & Carry Manager/Assistant Manager, and to carry out any duties as required (including key holding responsibilities). Communicate effectively with customers & staff ensuring queries are resolved efficiently & effectively. The supervision, mentoring and training of new & existing staff. Assisting and growing customer sales. Attention to detail in all aspects – ensuring accurate, professional and speedy processing of customers’ orders. Ensuring compliance with the Wholesale Standards Programme Working in conjunction with Management in relation to effective replenishment and stock control in line with company procedures, whilst also ensuring stock availability to meet customer needs Contributing to the effective management and reduction of wastage within the branch Working in conjunction with Cash & Carry Management to ensure the branch is prepared for Quarter End activities Ensuring security of Cash & Carry is maintained, protecting employees and stock Ensuring the effective supervision of employees in the Value Centre, as directed Contribute to the operation of the branch in a customer focused/friendly manner Minimising expenditure and, where appropriate, assist with the management of overheadsTo undertake any other activities as required in line with operational demands.The successful candidate will Be a highly motivated self-starter Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and suppliers in a professional mannerPrevious experience in supervisory/management positionExperience in warehouse management stock control Have experience of the licensed and/or grocery, catering trade Have the ability to contribute to the management of day-to-day floor operation of the Cash & Carry, including staff, stock control, deliveries, order picking & merchandisingHave some understanding of HACCP
