The role will involve:Leading the Technical Leadership team, who support problem resolution and provide technical direction day to day, as well as facilitating best in class harmonisation, and leveraging of best practices across the network.Pioneering incremental and step change continuous improvement initiatives, that facilitate NPI to be faster, future-fit and differentiating.Governance of the communities of practice and competency framework within TECS.Promoting connectedness, alignment and technical advancement, enterprise wide, across Stryker’s global engineering community.Technical / Managerial Responsibilities This individual will have responsibility for managing project managers & engineers tasked with the effective introduction of new products & technologies in line with divisional product portfolios.The individual will have ultimate responsibility for project & stakeholder management, people management and technical assessment of all assigned projects.They will successfully lead the team to deliver key programs or projects per associated timelines, quality requirements within budgetary constraints.Responsible for project, stakeholder and people management including the technical assessment of all assigned projects. Will successfully lead the team to deliver key programs or projects per associated quality, time and cost constraints.Be an effective partner across all functions within divisional and GQO organisations to deliver associated new products in line with divisional pipelines. Participate and represent the function at required business forums.Develop skills matrix in line with product road maps identifying the necessary training and coaching for team members to ensure that technical and team based skills are acquired, applied and maintained by team members. Prepare and deliver annual budgets (headcount, expense and capital) for final review and approval. Approval authority for personnel requisitions and capital expenditure requests.Provide direction to the team in complex or difficult situations, remove obstacles, assign appropriate resources and interface with other functions to assist with issue resolution.Responsible for the implementation, enforcement and compliance of all relevant quality, regulatory and safety standards.Critically assess new product charters & financial plans to extrapolate key deliverables such as standard cost and launch requirements.Identify, hire and manage contract SMEs to validate and release new process / equipment to production in line with Stryker systems & specifications.Partner with HR in identifying, acquiring top talent while developing and retaining talent within the team.Establish priorities imparting a sense of urgency and importance to effectively deliver new products per quality, cost and time constraints.All other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications (Required):B.S in Engineering, Science or business discipline required or a related masters degree. 3 to 5 Years leadership experience or substantial engineering support or project management experience in a team based environment is required. Experience in managing a new products or process team preferred.Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and presentation skills essential. Strong collaborator and team orientated individualIndividual should possess strong leadership skills, proven ability to coach and mentor individuals in technical skills and people development areas. The individual should enjoy working in a dynamic and results driven team based environment with flexibility essential.Demonstrated leadership, project management and engineering experience in new product introduction in a regulated environment preferred.Flexibility essential with strong project management skills.Requires an analytical, logical and strategic thought process.In-depth understanding of, experience in, and ability to mentor in one or more technical / functional disciplines.Experience of GD&T, process mapping, statistical methods and process/ product validations would prove beneficial.Excellent PC skills (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project).Excellent attention to detail.Leadership Experience: • Talented performance coach who is skilled at providing actionable feedback to team members, setting clear performance objectives and managing team member performance.• General knowledge of the healthcare market and competitors.• Experience executing a talent and performance management strategy.• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex plans and technical information to team members within a division.• Proven ability to deliver programs or other business goals on time, on quality and within budget. #IJTravel Percentage: 20%
