<p><strong>SOCIAL CARE WORKERS</strong></p> <p><strong>Meath Day Services -Mon-Fri </strong></p> <p><strong>(Between the hours of 09:00-17:00)</strong></p> <p><strong>Various Contracts Available</strong></p> <p><strong>Athboy &amp; Trim</strong></p> <p>Due to the exciting expansion of services, we are seeking to recruit Social Care Workers to join our Day Services team in Athboy and Trim. We are looking to meet motivated, enthusiastic, creative and energetic Social Care Workers to support individuals with an intellectual disability to realise their vision for a ‘good life’. Our day services are fully aligned to New Directions Interim Standards. The focus of the role will be to lead initiatives in supporting the individuals to live a life of their choosing and what matters most to the person. The role will involve supporting individuals to become connected and valued within their local community, to provide opportunities for new experiences and to assist each person in developing real and authentic relationships. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in supporting individuals to develop valued social roles and have experience in supporting individuals with communication needs and those who may display behaviours of concern and will have experience of person-centred planning and knowledge of person directed and individualised support approaches.</p> <p>If you are a Social Care Worker with the ability to connect to people and have a passion for supporting people to live typical meaningful lifestyles, then this may be an ideal opportunity for you.</p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications)</li> <li>&nbsp;Registered with CORU, or have commenced the registration process.</li> <li>· Full current manual driving licence.</li> <li>· Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable.</li> <li>· Excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills an advantage.</li> <li>. Excellent communication skills and ability to become an effective team member.</li> <li>. Excellent record keeping and report writing skills.</li> <li>. Ability to support individuals to connect with their local community and develop and maintain relationships.</li> <li>. Ability to support individuals with person centred planning.</li> <li>. Excellent working knowledge of New Directions Interim Standards.</li> <li>.
