Machining of materials and components using CNC and manual machines in Machine Shop and/or Ceramics Laboratory. Partner with the best As a Machinist - Ceramics, you will be responsible for:Programming and operating precision dicing and grinding machines to tolerances down to +/-3µmHaving an excellent attention to detail and able to maintain high standards of accuracy and repeatabilityHaving the ability to check and inspect your own work meets the required standard and tolerances, by demonstrating high quality standards and the ability to use a variety of measurement equipmentHaving the ability to modify process parameters, based on material specification or machine feedbackTaking a proactive approach to health, safety and environmental risks and report them as necessaryApplying machine maintenance as per schedulesTo complete accurately and in a timely fashion all relevant paperwork and record work digitally using the SAP systemCarry out any other duties reasonable within capability as requiredMaintaining a clean room environment using good manufacturing practicesFuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:Have an understanding of mechanical drawings and measuring work to tolerancesHave experience of manual machining (lathes and milling machines)Have the ability to work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing processBe a good team player and display good communication and problem-solving skills Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
