Our client, based in Shannon, is a prominent organisation seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their IT Team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of ICT and will be part of a dynamic team in a competitive work environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide effective and efficient ICT services to meet business requirements.Maintain and enhance the ICT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and support appropriate systems and solutions.Manage local and wide area networks, as well as support remote operations.Develop and implement ICT, Information, and Security policies.Ensure compliance with statutory roles and licensing pertaining to ICT, Information, and Security.Offer advanced technical support to staff.Support ISO27001 implementation.Requirements:Degree in ICT or equivalent experience.Proficiency in local and wide area networking.Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery.Experience with database management systems (e.g., MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL).Familiarity with managing virtual server environments (e.g., vSphere) and data backup systems (e.g., Veeam).Ability to support and develop ICT systems.Understanding of procurement and tendering processes.Capability to manage contractors and consultants.Proficiency in LAN/WAN/WIFI technologies (e.g., Cisco).Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight stays.Availability to travel to various sites as needed.Fluent in English, both written and verbal.Residency and eligibility to work in Ireland.
