The Role: Oversee the day to day operation of the Workshop ensuring optimum and consistent labour utilisation, labour deployment and job efficiency Managing a team of 10 Technicians in a busy environment. Maintain a safe and clean work environment To book in, by telephone, email or personally, vehicles for service and repair Generate Estimates and invoices To hand over the vehicle to customer and explain any issues relating to the work/future work required Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required. Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices. Complete relevant service documentation in line with Dealer and Manufacturer requirements Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out. The Person: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes: Ideally but not essentially a Qualified Mechanic or a person with 3 years’ experience in managing a Vehicle Workshop & team of Technicians. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Strong computer skills including MS Office and experience of Assetminder would be an advantage.
