Electronics Engineer (Production)

On site position in Shannon, Co Clare with flexible start times. Responsibilities: Collaborate in the development of innovative production test solutions, focusing on the creation of new test modules and stands, encompassing FPGA design, schematic capture, and PCB design. Maintain and enhance existing production test hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Manage and update product and test documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, and manuals, to uphold accuracy and accessibility. Address parts obsolescence challenges efficiently to sustain uninterrupted production processes. Provide expert support to the production team in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, contributing to troubleshooting and repair efforts. Skills: Proficiency in digital circuitry, encompassing combinational logic, FPGAs, various bus technologies, and timers. Strong command of VHDL coding for FPGA implementation. Demonstrated ability to operate a range of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters (DMMs), and Bus analysers. Familiarity with Altium or Orcad is advantageous. Experience in C and C++ programming is a plus. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and resolving complex technical challenges. A collaborative mindset, capable of effectively working within a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in digital design or related areas.
