This newly created role is with a homegrown Irish investment firm dedicated to providing holistic property solutions across various sectors. Grounded in a culture of growth and operational excellence, the firm leverages its expertise to effectively manage a diverse property portfolio. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the In-House Legal Counsel will play a pivotal role in steering the Legal and Commercial direction of the company, ensuring the Legal function is not only robust but also supportive of the company's expansion and strategic plans. To be considered for interview, your skills and experience will include: LLB or equivalent law degree. Qualified lawyer (5-6 years PQE) Commercial contract review and drafting experience working in-house or for a law firm preferred. Possess strong negotiation, diplomacy and excellent organizational ability. Great teammate and relationship builder with strong intrapersonal, communication, organization and time management skills. On successful hire, your duties and responsibilities will include: Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial property contracts on the company’s behalf such as confidentiality agreements, ancillary service agreements and consultancy agreements. Managing client relationships with client legal teams in relation to asset / property acquisitions and management Build, Maintain and Revise a standard contract template library. Assist in the resolution of legal disputes and claims, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution methods. Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary and represent the company's interests in legal proceedings. Monitor changes in property laws and regulations and advise the business on compliance requirements. Act as a trusted legal advisor to the Senior Leadership Team and company owners. Create, maintain and update standard process documents for contract negotiation. Provide training to key internal staff on headline / key aspects of commercial property contracts. Support the company's corporate governance framework, including board meetings, shareholder communications, and regulatory filings. Assist with corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring initiatives. Advise non-legal staff on contract language and negotiations, requests outside of established negotiation parameters, and all other pertinent information toward the execution of contract-related documents.
