Job Description: Aran Woollen Mills have an exciting, full-time opportunity for an IT Process Engineer / Project Manager. The role holder will report to the Head of IT and work with the wider Production, Sales & Marketing, Accounts, and eCommerce teams. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Process and IT systems, supporting our manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and business operations. As the IT Process Engineer / Project Manager you will be responsible for working with and developing further, all aspects of our information technology infrastructure, process and control systems, lead by our Head of IT. This role acts as a key link between IT and the Production, eCommerce, Accounts and Sales departments for both process improvement opportunities and project closure. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Working closely with our core team, review and drive process improvements across Production, eCommerce, Sales and Accounts departments. In some cases lead, and in others, be part of a team, selecting and tackling IT / Process projects from planning to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Play a key role in cross-functional teams, working with representatives from other departments and stakeholders to deliver IT initiatives successfully, such as system upgrades, migrations, and integration projects. System Development and Administration: Being a very forward-thinking company often among the early adopters of IT initiatives, AWM has invested heavily in ERP process management systems throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will continue the groundwork already in place, striving to not only maintain but enhance control through process and system development of all business-critical applications. Several key projects have already been earmarked, including but not limited to; Barcode Capability Review and Rollout in our state-of-the-art warehouse facility, the development of a new MRP system to build on the current BOM and Routing Module of the ERP system, POP module ERP implementation. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT management and apply knowledge to enhance the company's IT capabilities and efficiency. Identify areas for process improvement and optimization within the IT and Process departments and implement solutions to enhance productivity and performance. Infrastructure Management: Play a key role in managing and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers. Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems to support business operations. Cybersecurity: Support in the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect company data and systems from cyber threats and breaches. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. IT Support: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve complex technical issues and procure IT-related services and equipment. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Technology, Computer Science, Process Management or related field; Proven experience (+5 years) in IT / Process roles, preferably in manufacturing or related industries. In-depth knowledge of enterprise systems, network infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and IT best practices. Ability to lead and work on projects across multiple departments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Project management expertise with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget. Relevant certifications are a plus.
