Environmental Health, Safety & SustainabilityEnvironmental Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer you will play a pivotal part in further developing and implementing our EHSS strategy and supporting our Charleville facility as well as our site based operations. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement of our EHSS programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory, organisational and customers’ requirements. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities.Lead the ongoing development and implementation of EHSS practices and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant local/national regulations and customer policies. Manage the company's environmental and safety training needs analysis for all employees within the organisation. Co-ordinate, develop and deliver the EHSS training programs to ensure that employees’ knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations relevant to the commpany. Develop, manage and lead a culture of See it – Say it – Sort it across the organisation with a focus on continuous improvement. Further develop and manage the site EHS risk assessment program with the management team to agree and manage prioritised programmes to reduce risks. Lead on Environmental, Health & Safety improvement, awareness, and engagement programmmes and act as role model for the EHS values and behaviours Coordinate the Sustainability programmes for the site. Develop and manage EHSS Key Performance Indicators ensuring all regulatory and organisational EHSS KPI reporting requirements are adhered to. Represent the company in interactions with external agencies/ stakeholders including HSA and EPA, Masco Group etc. Oversee the accident investigation and incident management program, including liaison with insurers. Lead/co-ordinate internal and external EHSS inspections and audit programs. Lead the company in obtaining ISO , ISO Develop and implement health promotion programmes within the business. Provide support and advice to safety representatives and safety committees at various locations Review and approve Site permits Collaborate and support other functions within the business in promoting EHSS behaviours Manage operational licenses and ensure compliance. Qualifications and Experience:A third-level qualification in EHSS, science, engineering, or related discipline. Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) is desirable A minimum of 3 years' EHSS experience, ideally in manufacturing/construction . Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of implementing ISO Environmental and Safety Standards Detailed knowledge of legislation and ability to interpret and translate such information into business policy and procedures. Experience working in a LEAN or continual improvement environment and ability to apply continual improvement concepts to EHS excellence is desirable.
