Electrical Service Manager – Water

Our client, a leading supplier of electrical & mechanical services, is currently seeking to hire a Service Manager to join their team in Carlow.The role will involve overseeing 30+ Service staff & 5+ Office staff to maintain company functions.Role:Reporting to the Service Director this individual will oversee and manage day to day operation of a busy service department.In conjunction with schedulers, co-ordinate and plan weekly schedule for service crews.The individual will be required to work on their own initiative based upon daily tasks and duties as part of a collaborative team in the service department.Management and delegation of tasks within service department.Status report production for issue to senior management.Service/Maintenance/facilities contracts account management.Technical sales/service support to existing and new customer base.Problem solving and solution-based approach to issues arising.Overseeing the scheduling of workload while working to strict timelines.Supporting the service department as required to ensure deadlines are met and the smooth running of the department.Ensure health and safety policies are complied.Requirements:7-10 years’ experience in mechanical/electrical engineering environment with a minimum of 3+ years in a managerial/supervisory role.3rd level Qualification in Engineering.Knowledge of water industry is a distinct advantage.Good knowledge and experience in quoting, tender preparation and submissions.Excellent IT skills, interpersonal skills & communication skills both written and verbal.Flexible and possess the Ability to go the extra mile when required Tags:
