Oaklawns Veterinary Surgery is a busy, first opinion mixed practice located 5 minutes from the town centre of Carlow. We are in a great location about 1 hour from Dublin and Waterford with excellent access to the main motorways.We are seeking a Veterinary Nurse to join our Small Animal team. Our current team is made up of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 Veterinary Nurses and 5 Support Staff. Our Small Animal services are rapidly expanding. We have lots of equipment in-house to keep up with our ever-growing small animal services including Gas Anaesthesia, Digital Xrays, Haematology, Biochemistry, Dental Machine, Ultrasound and Microscopy. Check out or website here: The RoleThe Veterinary Nurse position is a full-time permanent, of 42.5 hours over 5 days per week. Typical shifts are 8.5 hours per day: 8am-5:30pm or 9am-6:30pm. There is no OOH or Weekend work involved in this role. Your main duties would be split between surgical nursing patient care and nursing consultations. Salary is up to €36,000 depending on experience. Applicant RequirementsWe are seeking a qualified Veterinary Nurse eligible to register with the VCI.
